About

Sixes & Sevens was formed in 2008 as a cooperative between two individuals who identified in each other the different marketing skill sets that would prove to be extremely complimentary in partnership. Working on a number of electronic and print projects throughout 2008 and 2009 helped Kieran Murphy and Kim Berry to consolidate this partnership, building on their strengths and the network of contacts they had developed over the course of several years.

This website represents the end of that first chapter; the point at which Sixes & Sevens becomes a tangible commodity in an effort to further develop design opportunities, the creation of corporate artwork and promotional materials and an attempt to define for themselves the breadth and scale of what marketing can be.

Whilst still in the progressive stages of its own business development, Sixes & Sevens aims to make use of an extensive talent pool to ensure that the client receives the absolute best in marketing advice and production value. Sixes & Sevens is defined by dedication, creative vision and practicality.

Kim Berry

Kim Berry began his marketing and design career producing posters, cd artwork and websites for his band, Grand Central, almost as an afterthought to his aspirations for a professional music career. During this time, he wisely decided to advance these skills; he studied and completed a TAFE Diploma of Marketing and from there he went on to graduate from ECU with a Bachelor of Communications (Multimedia and Graphic Design), before taking up a sales position with Mega Music in 2006.

With his exceptional skills with the Adobe suite of products, Kim was called upon more and more often to produce internal and external marketing material, working his way up to the Marketing Manager position in late 2007. Kim continues to produce websites and graphic design projects on a contract basis to a variety of business interests.

Kim has a keen interest in ecommerce and developing Internet-based business solutions and also enjoys normal things too, like surfing, basketball and playing guitar.

Kieran Murphy

Kieran Murphy graduated from ECU in 1999 with a Bachelor of Communications (Media Studies) degree with Honours and immediately set about immersing himself in WA's media community. Taking a part-time job at Rehame as a Media Monitor exposed him to the stylistic constraints of professional journalism and he turned his attention instead to public relations writing in a newly defined role as Marketing Manager at Mega Music, a WA-based musical instrument retailer.

Through his exposure to desktop publishing design and printing, television commercial production, press release writing, scheduling and promotions, Kieran moved his way up to Business Development Manager, a position he held until leaving to follow freelance opportunities in 2008. Kieran continues to work on a contract basis to Mega Music and a range of other private business ventures, including Street Artist Management and Urban Chilli Furniture and Homewares.

A professional musician with over 15 years experience, Kieran has extensive contacts throughout the WA media and entertaiment community and has been involved in the production and marketing of popular music and theatrical shows.

Kieran is also an avid photographer and is currently working on several photographic projects. He was born south of the river but lives north, owns several Def Leppard albums and wholeheartedly believes that riding a motorbike is perfectly safe.
